Hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa) is native to Japan and is highly soughtafter for its fine strain grain and natural resistance to rot and insect damage. Hinoki is used for exterior structures, garden furniture, bath tubs and fine furniture.

Planed a board on 1 side to show finished grain profile. These boards have a very clean rough saw when compared to timbers from other mills. The boards are square and straight and only require a 1mm planing pass to dress. I can dress these for a small fee.
